With All Things Considered, it’s my mission to show you how you can create an authentic celebration that values sustainability as well as style.
I am not what you’d call a traditionalist. I’ve worked in events for more than a decade, and as well as the creative buzz and the chance to flex my problem-solving muscles, I’m most fulfilled by encouraging people to break away from ‘the done thing’ and follow their hearts. Having worked on some truly jaw-dropping events over the years, my eyes have been opened to just how much of a negative environmental impact they often have. It’s time for things to change!
I’m always learning, and am something of a collector of new and eclectic skills. Recent experiments have included line dancing, aerial silks and attending a sound bath! I relish the unknown and the chance for research, and if you give me a puzzle, I’ll work my socks off to solve it. If you’re looking for my happy place, you’ll find it in the Cambridgeshire village I call home – snuggled up on the sofa with my husband Kev and our gorgeous-but-soppy dog, Rocket. Give me rain on the windowpanes, a glass of rich red wine in my hand and an episode of Strictly quickstepping away on the TV. Bliss!
I believe we can look after the planet by making a series of little, everyday changes, rather than enormously drastic lifestyle overhauls. Designing a celebration that’s environmentally and socially conscious is therefore a process of tiny tweaks and imaginative twists, whether you’re planning a wedding party or a corporate event. It’s intensely creative, and it’s also a whole lot of fun – I promise!
Small changes, big difference
I want to know everything you’ve got up your sleeves – bring me your Pinterest boards and magazine clippings, and wax lyrical about the day you’re dreaming of. Nothing about your style has to change, and in fact, I will be the biggest champion of your sophistication, your elegance, your big, bright boldness or your all out crazy quirk.
Working with me is about having a personal and authentic experience, which means I’m not here to judge your green credentials (I’m certainly still a work in progress)! I’m sensitive to the fact that there are many demands on your creativity, time and purse strings while planning your event, and I’m not here to impose my ideas on you. Our time together is a collaboration, and I’ll work closely with you to find thoughtful, eco-friendly alternatives to your décor ideas that stay true to your personal style, and that are relevant and realistic for the life you lead.
From an initial injection of inspiration and sourcing of kindred spirit suppliers with an eco focus, to a fuller design, and on-the-day styling service, I’ll help you build an event that’s as green as it is gorgeous. Get in touch for an initial consultation, and let’s have a good old chat about what you’ve got planned. I can’t wait to hear all about it.
